At Rosewood State School, camp is an exciting and important part of our students' learning journey. Our camp program is carefully designed to build confidence, strengthen friendships, and develop essential life skills beyond the classroom.
In Year 4, students participate in a special overnight stay at school. This experience provides a gentle introduction to being away from home, helping students build independence in a familiar and supportive environment. It is a wonderful opportunity for students to strengthen peer connections, practise responsibility, and develop confidence.
In Years 5 and 6, students attend a three-day, two-night camp experience. These camps are filled with engaging outdoor and team-based activities that promote cooperation, teamwork, resilience, and independence. Students are challenged to step outside their comfort zones, solve problems together, and support one another to achieve shared goals.
Through camp experiences, students learn to communicate effectively, show leadership, manage challenges, and develop persistence. These experiences not only create lasting memories but also play a vital role in shaping confident, capable, and connected learners.
